The Catskill Scenic Trail lies on top of the former railbed of the Ulster and Delaware railroad. This 26 mile trail offers a hard-packed surface that makes it perfect for hiking, biking, horseback riding and cross country skiing. A unique feature of this trail is a very gentle grade. Young and old will find this an easy and enjoyable trek, through some of the prettiest country in the world. Please see the map below for more detail on where to get on and off!

The trail is owned and maintained by The Catskill Revitalization Corp. CRC is a not-for-profit organization funded by donations from people like you. CRC has established an endowment fund for trail maintenance and improvements. We are fortunate to have a matching grant that doubles all donations sent to the organization.
